+ I found the experience of staying at the Yacoub fairly strange. The staff I met seemed quite distant and not particularly welcoming - and they did not ask if there was anything they could do to help me get around Saida or the district. There was a feeling that they couldn't be bothered with their guest. On the other hand the room I had was large, airy and comfortable with a big, clean bathroom. And the hotel is very well located just five minutes walk from the Sea Castle and right in the middle of the souk area. The hotel was also quiet at night. On the other hand, breakfast was pretty poor and carelessly served. Nevertheless, I think the hotel is very good value for money, but a bit more effort from the staff would help a lot! Overall, a mixed experience.
