Lords of the waves
They stand on the sea shore as the early sun ray morn shines their waxed armor, waves crashing beneath their feet and strong northern winds floating within their hair. Every time this year, they come prepared for the battle. This year however, they have knighted an apprentice who, as tradition implies, will lead the attack.
As the audience impatiently engages in cheering the hesitant beginner, he slides unto his board and holds on to the steering of his sail. Once it catches the wind, the wave hunt starts! And this battle can only end when a winner is proclaimed; most of the time the waves are defeat. So, what’s it going to be for our new comer?

What at first might seem as a fourth production to the trilogy of the rings, this real life scenario repeats itself every year between May and October, in one of Lebanon’s most ancient cities: Batroun!
Yes, yes, Batroun might be famous for its exquisite lemonade, vibrant nightlife, historical phoenician wall and crystal clear waters but the main attraction that has been grasping tourists over the couple of years are windsurfers taking over the waves for an unparalleled show blending excitement and thrill with a twist of Lebanese summer ambiance.
You still can catch them riding the waves until the end of October; the perfect timing to get your hands on one of our end-of-season hot deals for Batroun hotels and enjoy the last sunny days by the sea; summer seams long from being over!
